Though more known as computer vendors, including Acer released a smartphone productively. This year it will be the introduction of 10 models. Nine of them were released with Windows Mobile and platform the latter will use Google-made Android platform.The first Android smartphone is made by Acer named Liquid A1 and the plan was released in December or early this week. Next year will be more crowded because Acer will release an Android smartphone more.

“Next year will be more balanced,” said Aymar de Lencquesaing, corporate senior vice president and smart handheld as reported by Reuters Acer. He said it planned 8-10 device Android platforms next year.

According to Acer, this is the right time to enter smartphone market with Android. According to Canalys research, Android market share in the year grew from zero to 3.5 percent of the global market. While Microsoft’s market fell from 13.6 percent to 8.8 percent.
