No Need to Be Desperate if You Have School Grants

As a young person, you must know exactly that going to college is very important for your future. College gives a number of benefits including the knowledge that you need to be really good in your field. Not only that you get the knowledge, you also get the skills that will be useful for keeping you competitive. In short, going to college means bigger opportunity to succeed. That is something that you really need to understand. However, all those hopes seem to disappear when you look at the financial condition of your parents. They are struggling with the mortgage and on daily needs. It makes going to college seem quite impossible. You must be really desperate at this point because on one hand, you really want to go to college so that you will have a better future for yourself and for your family. On the other hand, you cannot blame your parents for being incapable of providing the college fund.

If you know about school grants, then you do not need to be desperate. If you can get the school grants, you will be able to go to college without have to pay back the loan. This will keep you concentrating on finishing your college as you are supposed to. The application forms can be found in libraries, universities or online.

Electronic Documents Search Getting Easier

At the annual event Summit Storage, Symantec Corp. announced the availability of Enterprise Vault 9.0 and Symantec Enterprise Vault Discovery Collector. This technology is useful to help companies store, manage, and find all the information in the company. Enterprise Vault 9.0 allows easy searching to meet e-discovery regulations (Search for electronic documents). This technology combines e-mail from Microsoft Exchange Online with the source of the archived content on the site into a centralized repository. Thus, the technology allows companies to reduce costs, manage e-discovery is centralized, and supports an internal investigation. Enterprise Vault 9.0 is also expanding the support sources of content to include Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 1 (SP1), Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 and Domino 8.5.1.

The next solution, namely the Enterprise Vault Discovery Collector helps companies find information that is not managed at the desktop and laptop computers. In addition, the data has not been archived from SharePoint Server, exchange data files, can be quickly found and produced to meet demand for information on e-discovery. The second solution above is the most recent version of Symantec Information Management Strategy which is useful for helping companies delete data safely and efficiently perform document searches. Information is also protected and duplicated anywhere to eliminate duplicate data.

“In order for companies to remove safely, they need to have strong information management strategy, the foundation built in archiving,” said Mark Bregman, Chief Technology Officer, Symantec, in his statement, Monday, September 20, 2010. With these latest offerings, Bregman says it has enabled the IT and legal departments to jointly develop and implement a retention policy. “This is eliminating the gap between technology and policy in reducing the risk,” she said.

NVIDIA GeForce GT 420, the Latest Fermi Low End VGA Card

GeForce 420 GT is NVIDIA-based graphics cards for the first Fermi level of low-end with support for DirectX 11 and OpenGL 4. This graphics card is an OEM version that will be used by Dell, HP, and other pre-built systems.

From the standpoint of hardware, GeForce GT 420 is a 40nm GPU with the manufacturer and has a 700MHz clock, 48 CUDA cores, 2GB of GDDR3 clocked at 1800MHz speed 128-bit memory bus, and the shader clock 1400MHz. Fermi latest NVIDIA VGA also supports low-profile design with DVI, HDMI, and output D-sub.

This graphics card supports a maximum resolution up to 2560 × 1600 pixel with power consumption of only 50W.

iPod Touch Follows iPhone 4

Many are calling the iPod Touch as an iPhone without the phone function. CEO Steve Jobs introduces the newest Apple products in San Francisco, Wednesday (01/09/2010) local time. For Apple, the iPod Touch has become the main coffers and provide significant benefits such as the iPhone. Although without a phone, iPod Touch new impressions could be going after the iPhone 4.

“Touch has become a product that really means for us. He is the most popular iPod. People call it the iPhone without the phone. He is also the iPhone without contract subscriptions. However, it has become the number one portable game player in the world,” said Steve Jobs enthusiastically. Steve Jobs claims, sales of the iPod Touch so far exceeded even the total sales of Nintendo’s and Sony’s portable device. iPod Touch, according to Jobs, controls more than 50 percent market share in portable game players worldwide.
