Sting worried that the construction of dams in the Amazon region as planned will destroy nature and population of the area residents.

The plan, if the construction of this dam will be conducted, the activists will gather around 40 thousand people to occupy the area of the dam construction. Sting also told managed to bring James Cameron (director AVATAR film) and Sigourney Weaver (one of the stars AVATAR) to join the campaign rejecting the construction of this dam. Splash News also mentions that James Cameron was intrigued participate campaigning because he felt there are similarities between this problems with a problem that he’s ‘talking’ in AVATAR.
